Norwich-based alt-pop due PleasureInc. have dropped their newest track, ‘2:45’. The band put it best themselves: “Akin to the weed-induced nighttime hunger that inspired its lyrics, 2:45 rumbles along like a ticking time bomb dying to detonate.” The track is centred on a propulsive single chord, which underpins angular bass lines and punchy, hip-hop-coded drum grooves. It’s a swaggering track that allows for a chant-along indie chorus to contrast the pseudo-rap of its verses, which is delivered with a unique yet instantly memorable flow. ‘2:45’ teases their upcoming EP, Plastic People, which is due out on April 17th, 2024. -Dan Peeke
